The Lions have finalised their 22-man team ahead of Sunday’s critical clash against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

Vice-Captain Daniel Merrett returns to the line-up after spending the past six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury while Andrew Raines has been recalled after spending the past two weeks with the Lions Reserves side.

The pair have been included in place of fellow defenders Ash McGrath (hamstring) and Matt Maguire (foot) who suffered injuries during last week’s loss to the Kangaroos.

Aaron Cornelius, Pearce Hanley and Troy Selwood - who were selected in the Lions’ preliminary 25-man squad yesterday - have been named as the team’s three emergency players.
