IN THE final round of dual-position player (DPP) additions for the season, Brett Deledio may interest a few Fantasy Draft coaches while some rookies add some bench flexibility.
Every six rounds the team at Champion Data highlight players who are playing in a different position to the position allocated to them at the start of the year.

It is important to note only players with a single position can be awarded DPP status in the three rollouts and players cannot lose an allocated position. Champion Data use starting positions at stoppages and assess the percentage of time spent in their roles to make changes.

As the season rolls on, there are fewer players awarded DPP. This is often to do with more settled line-ups. This year we have seen more players gain forward status than any other role.
Brett Deledio is arguably the player that could make a difference to Fantasy Draft coaches now he is a MID/FWD. Although his 77 average may not see him start in some shallow leagues, he will be available in many player pools for those who think they could play him when the Giants take on the Suns in round 23.

In this rollout, 12 additions are forwards, taking the total number of players gaining forward status to 33 compared to the five rucks, 12 midfielders and 13 defenders that were added in 2019.

A fortnight ago he scored 101 against the Lions. Deledio is available in 30 per cent of Draft leagues.
Flexibility is one of the benefits from the DPP additions. Matt Suckling is a staple in Draft as he has the capacity to rack up plenty of the ball and his 83 average sits him in the top 20 for all defenders.

Suckling doesn't gain any extra value as a forward, however, he can now cover either DEF or FWD when needed. This extra flexibility will certainly help in the latter rounds when injury strikes.
Not a lot of Fantasy Classic coaches are excited about the final set of DPP additions.
The only real value here is the rookies who can now be swung between two positions. Take new RUCK/FWD Mabior Chol. Provided he holds his spot in the Tigers' team, he could provide much needed cover in the ruck.
Nick Hind has been playing in St Kilda's forward 50 since his senior debut. The mature-age recruit can now be a MID or FWD emergency provided you can move him between the spots.
