Brent Moloney has been released from hospital after season ending shoulder surgery late last week.

Moloney, talking to melbournefc.com.au today said, "The operation has gone to plan and hopefully I can start my rehabilitation program in the next few days."

The 69 gamer dislocated his shoulder in round 11 against Collingwood after an opponent fell across his arm.  Moloney had been in some good form up to that point having played eight games of the season so far.

Moloney is already looking towards season 2009 for his return, "It's been disappointing to end the year on this note, but all I can do now is focus on getting my body right and as fit as possibe for the 2009 season."

With Melbourne's season so far not being so bright, Moloney says he wants to stay involved with his team mates for the remainder of the season, and will help out and assist the younger developing players.
