North Melbourne has cruised past 32,000 members on the back of the club’s annual telethon last night.

The playing list and staff took to the phones in a effort to convince some of the 3000 unrenewed members from 2007 to re-sign.

The two-hour telethon netted 405 memberships for the club surging the season tally to 32,291.

New recruit Ben Davies starred for the winning Blue Team with 21 memberships sold, while club stalwart Greg Ryan out-did him with 23 signings.

For the White Team, captain Adam Simpson and his partner Jess Sinclair went head to head with Michael Firrito and Josh Smith for the most valuable award.

They were in hot competition all night, finally ending in a tie with both duos securing 22 members for the club’s cause.
