MELBOURNEfc has today promoted promising midfielder Jace Bode to the primary list, after the Club submitted its first list lodgement to the AFL.

Originally from Sturt in South Australia, Bode was taken at selection 23 in the 2005 Rookie Draft.

Known for his speed and convincing left foot kick, Bode spent his first year at the Club developing his skills through the VFL.  After recovering from post-season knee surgery, he made significant improvements in 2007, working his way into the senior line-up for the last four games of the season.

During those four games, Bode played predominantly off the half-back line and gained valuable exposure at the elite level of the game, averaging nine disposals and kicking three goals.

Jace Bode’s elevation completes this list in the lead-up to the NAB National Draft (November 24), Rookie Draft and Pre Season Draft (December 11)
