Port Adelaide has named an unchanged line-up for the clash with the Hawks at Aurora Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Robbie Gray, who was the only inclusion for the Round 7 game, has retained his spot after kicking three goals against the Bombers.

Chad Cornes and Matt Thomas are still at least a week away from returning and Power veteran Michael Wilson will make his return with the Magpies this weekend.

Here’s Power General Manager – Football Operations Peter Rohde’s inside word on this week’s selection…

We’ve only made changes for injuries over the last few weeks, which is a good sign. Winning three in a row, we’ve got no real reason to change the team. Over the next few weeks we’ll be expecting some big names to be back in the line-up. Michael Wilson will play for the Magpies in the SANFL this weekend, and Chad Cornes and Matt Thomas will hopefully be right to play the next week, so there is going to be some fierce competition for spots in a couple of weeks.

Having said that, the competition is pretty fierce at the moment, with blokes like Paul Stewart and Damon White continuing to impress in the local league. And not to forget Nick Lower and Nathan Lonie who have been pretty good for a number of weeks, which keeps the senior team on their toes.

Playing against the Hawks in Tassie is a big challenge, but we think we’ve got a side that suits the ground and the conditions we’re expecting (likely to be windy and raining). The in and under midfielders will need to have a big day.

Tredders has pulled up fine after the knock he received against the Bombers. He had most of last week off because we wanted to rest him up and make sure he’d be right for this game, but he’s 100 per cent now. We’re really happy with how he’s progressing this year. The game against St. Kilda he was very good and then backed it up with another solid performance last week. We think he’s getting better every week and we’re looking forward to seeing how he continues to perform throughout the season.

We don’t expect Wilbur to play the full four quarters this week, but we’d be hopeful for two or three solid quarters. Depending on how he goes, he might be down in the SANFL for one or two weeks – we’re obviously pretty keen to get him back in.
