Almost two months since being recruited to the Brisbane Lions during Trade Week, local Queensland dynamo Dayne Zorko feels right at home in his new Club environment.

Speaking exclusively to Lions fans during a live chat on the Club’s website, Zorko - a former St Kilda supporter - revealed that he had no trouble changing AFL allegiances and is now “a die-hard Lions supporter”.

The 22 year-old also said that he admired Brent Staker for the way he has conducted himself around the group despite undergoing a second consecutive knee reconstruction which will sideline him throughout 2012.

“He won’t be able to play the whole of next year, but he is still so full of excitement and positivity for the group,” Zorko said.

Zorko mentioned that he has also struck a good friendship with “fellow midget” Josh Green, who has helped show him the ropes around the Club.

Green, who was the Lions’ shortest listed player in 2011 at just 177cm, has since passed that mantle onto 175cm Zorko.

Among other topics, Zorko said he is most looking forward to playing alongside Lions superstar Simon Black, and has already been the subject of some practical jokes from his new team-mates.
