Midfielder Paul Hasleby has agreed to a one-year contract extension taking him through to the end of season 2010.

General manager of player management Brad Lloyd confirmed today that an agreement had been reached.

“Paul is an outstanding and decorated Fremantle player and we are delighted that he has committed to the club for season 2010,” he said.

“After missing a year of football through injury, Paul played all 22 games in 2009 and we believe that he is capable of playing even better football next year.”

After signing the agreement today, Hasleby said he was already looking forward to next season.

“I’ll be starting pre-season training in early November and I’m excited about playing my 11th season with Fremantle,” he said.

“Along with all the senior players, I’ve really enjoyed working with our young playing group. There is a lot to like about the future of the Fremantle Football Club and I’m very keen to be a part of that.”
