The Brisbane Lions AFC have farewelled Head of Strength & Conditioning Lachlan Penfold who has been a valuable member of the Club's Football Department for the past six seasons.

Penfold joined the Lions at the end of 2004 and worked alongside Craig Starcevich as a strength & conditioning coach before being promoted to a more senior role in 2006.

He had previously had successful stints with the gold medal winning Australian Women's Water Polo Squad at the 2000 Olympic Games and had also worked with the Australian Women's Softball Squad who won two Olympic medals during his tenure with them.

The Brisbane Lions AFC would like to sincerely thank Lachlan for his wonderful service throughout his time with the Club and wish him well with his future projects.

The Club will now begin its search for an experienced and qualified strength & conditioning professional to replace his role.
