Rested for the round 15 match against St Kilda, Atley came back into the side to play the Magpies and had nine possessions and laid three tackles in what was a tough day for all players in the royal blue and white.
Into the side to take on the Bulldogs is Ben Warren who could consider himself very lucky after appearing to seriously injure his ankle in the VFL a fortnight ago. Warren fell awkwardly after taking a strong contested mark against the Casey Scorpions and was carried from the ground on a stretcher. Many feared the blow could have been season-ending but a closer medical examination delivered good news and the Queenslander was able to return the following week.
Liam Anthony and Lindsay Thomas have been omitted with Ben Speight and Jamie Macmillan taking the final two spots in the 22.
Gavin Urquhart was close to a call-up but has instead been named as an emergency along with Anthony and Atley.
