Dr Dream Team: We're inching closer and closer to the Toyota AFL Dream Team finals series, Mr Fantasy, and Dream Team scores have gone crazy in the past three weeks. Did you see this week's all-time record of 2833? The things I'd do to pull out a total like that.

Mr Fantasy: And I thought I was going well with a score of 2497! The Geelong-Melbourne game gave those with a few Cats players some huge scores. Players are really getting close to cracking 200 points in a single game. If you had to choose one player to achieve such a feat, who would you nominate?

Dr Dream Team: Great question and I really want to see it happen this year. I reckon if anybody is to do it, it will be Dane Swan. I know I'm not going out on a limb by suggesting the DT king, but if his kicking was better on Sunday against the Bombers he would have slotted a couple more goals and hit 190 points instead of 171. Who would be your choice?

Mr Fantasy: I did a story in this week's AFL Record on the great Wayne Carey, who scored over 200 in a game before fantasy footy was around in this country, so I'll go for a power forward to reach the mark first. Maybe Travis Cloke or Lance Franklin could go nuts in a game. Both seem to get a high amount of possessions for big forwards. Brian Lake scored 192 in a game last year. That seems so long ago.

Dr Dream Team: Brian Lake? Who's that? Now, as with most weeks this season, we have a Dream Team dilemma. With Gary Ablett out this week with a hamstring injury, and many teams vying for places in the top eight and top four, what would you do if you have the trades to get Gary out of your side. Trade him to get into the finals or leave him in and hope he comes back in round 21?

Mr Fantasy:
Again, it depends on where you are on the ladder. I would also look at the team of the person you're playing ... he or she may be worse off than you. If you can save a trade, I would. You?

Dr Dream Team: The worst thing would be to finish ninth with two trades, knowing they could have helped you get over the line. Agree that it depends on individual circumstances and that it's tough to make a broad judgment call, but I do think you've got to do what you've got to do to make the finals. Speaking of which, do you have a finals wildcard for your team?

Mr Fantasy: Well by this stage I was expecting Alan Didak to be fit and firing and scoring 100 every week, but his horror year continues. I'm considering bringing in Nick Dal Santo - his form has been extraordinary of late. He looks like he will finish the year off brilliantly. Apart from that, my team is ticking along nicely. What a game for you this week, Doc. You lose and you could find yourself in ninth spot, and I hear a few of your workmates are planning to fill your desk with yellow and black streamers, in reference to Richmond's association with the position.

Dr Dream Team: It's also a Richmond supporter I'm coming up against, and considering he won't have a lot to celebrate this year with the mighty fightin' Tiges', it will be his season highlight if he can knock me off. I'm intent on making sure it doesn't happen. I'm tempted to trade out Shaun Higgins, who has the bye and was injured last week, to bring in Cloke into my side but I'm about $5,000 short. Your captaincy choices the last two weeks (Dean Cox) have been superb. Who tosses the DT coin this week?

Mr Fantasy: Can't see why Cox can't make it a hat-trick this week against the Tigers, a team that needs a ruckman like a fish needs the sea. Good luck this week, Doc. I have a feeling you're going to need it.
