IT WAS a bitterly disappointed Kade Simpsonwho headed out to the Carlton team bus for thestart of the long journey back to Melbourneafter his side's crushing 77-point loss to the Dockers on Saturday night.

The midfielder had a good game personally, with 20 disposals and six marks, but that was no consolation.

“It's been disappointing, the last coupleof weeks.

“We wanted to get out the week after – wehad the week off so we had plenty of time to think about it – and we had it inour minds that we wanted to bounce back hard,” he said.

“The first half wasn't too bad, we thoughtwe were in the game, and then after half-time we just let ourselves down andlet the supporters down as well.”

Fremantle kicked at least the first three goalsin each term, and the 23-year-old said it was a frustration as they regardedthemselves as good starters after each break.

“We've been pretty good starters throughoutmost of the year, but that's something we'll have to look at, because you'renot going to win too many games when you're giving up three goals at the startof each quarter.”

Next Sunday the Blues go up against Melbourne,a team with a new coach, always a danger game for any side.

“On Monday we'll have a look at the game, see where we can improve, and there'll be plenty of places where we can.

“We'll look at that, then pretty much trainhard all week and set ourselves for the Dees.

“They'vehad an emotional couple of weeks, so they'll be fired up, so we've just got toget a good start and really put the pressure on them.”
