Amos Frank has re-written the record books at the Crows this week.

The young Fregon midfielder from the APY Lands now holds the record for the 20 metre sprint test at the Club, smashing Patrick Dangerfield's time.

Frank's time of 2.82sec is the fastest ever clocked at the Club, surpassing Dangerfield's 2.86sec for the 20 metre sprint test.

Frank is a member of the APY Lands team which will play against a representative Maralinga side in the Rio Indigenous Lands Challenge Cup from 4.05pm this Saturday at AAMI Stadium, prior to the Crows v Swans match.

On Wednesday the APY Lands and Maralinga teams were guests of the Adelaide Crows for the day and all the players undertook high performance testing on the Crows Shed floor.

Frank's record breaking sprint came as no surprise to Crows legend Andrew McLeod, who has watched Frank's development with interest.

"He could be something special," McLeod said. "He's a great talent and certainly one to watch on Saturday night."

Frank, who won the Best and Fairest trophy in the Far North West Sports League last year, will be wearing the number 4 guernsey for the APY Lands side on Saturday night.

The Adelaide Crows have had an ongoing fostership program with the APY Lands since 2008.

Through the program the Club is aiming to make a difference to the lifestyle of people living in the APY Lands through football.

The program involves coaching, training and lifestyle programs specifically this year teaching the community about "My Eye Health".

Last week Crows indigenous players joined forces with the Sight for All organisation to film a music video called Eyes with local singer Caper, which will be used throughout the APY Lands to promote eye hygiene.

In September each year selected Crows players spend a week in the Lands watching the local finals, holding Crows in Schools clinic and talking to the community about health and education.

Last year Frank's Fregon side lost the grand final by 10 points to Mimili.
