The sight of some senior Crows back on the training track was a bonus for supporters who arrived early at Sunday’s Members Day.

Eight players who did not play against Carlton in the last NAB Challenge match were involved in Sunday morning’s session at Max Basheer Reserve and are on target to be available for selection this week.

The list includes Andrew McLeod, Tyson Edwards, Scott Thompson, Bernie Vince, Ivan Maric, James Sellar, Jason Porplyzia and Nathan van Berlo.

Vince played three quarters with the Eagles in an SANFL trial on Saturday while van Berlo had his second hit-out with South Adelaide on Friday night. Porplyzia, who joined full training for the first time in a couple of months, is the only one of this group who has not played any games during the pre-season.

Captain Simon Goodwin told the media that the extra options would provide some headaches for the selectors leading into round one against Fremantle next Sunday.

“To have that group of quality players available is a great position to be in,” he said. “Conditioning won’t be an issue for most of that group so it will be up to the selectors to work out who can get back in the team for Fremantle.”

Sunday’s Farmers Union Members Day was a huge hit, with about 3000 fans flocking to the Westpac Centre and Max Basheer Reserve. There were autograph stations, jumping castles, handball targets, mini-cars, show rides, laser skirmish battles, face-painting, tours of the new facility and a free sausage sizzle.

Members were also chosen to present the 2010 guernseys to the Adelaide players.
