GEELONG will have almost a full list available for this week's preliminary final against the Sydney Swans after declaring Lachie Henderson fit to play.
Henderson followed up his session on Saturday with training on Monday and pulled up well, with the selectors now having to decide where he best fits into the Cats' line-up.
The 26-year-old also survived a close encounter with a shark on the Surf Coast last week in what has become something of a treacherous path to his first preliminary final.
Cats physio Mark Young also told the Geelong website that Jackson Thurlow, who missed the season following a knee reconstruction, would be ready to start pre-season training with the main group as his recovery remains on track.
Young said Thurlow had completed a month of running and gymnastic sessions where he tested the knee jumping, twisting and landing.
"He has really enjoyed that," Young said.
"He is fit, he is strong and he will have a little break soon and then he will get into the football."
Cory Gregson will also start running soon after spending eight weeks in a moon boot following an operation on his injured foot.
Apart from that pair the Cats are injury-free, with Henderson, Nakia Cockatoo, Jed Bews, Shane Kersten and Darcy Lang all hopeful of breaking into the team that progressed through to the preliminary final with a two-point win over Hawthorn in the qualifying final.
