NAT FYFE has had successful surgery to repair his broken leg but there is still no time frame on the Brownlow medallist's playing return.
Fyfe flew to Melbourne on Monday after scans had revealed that he had fractured his left fibula for the second time in less than eight months during Sunday's loss to Carlton at Domain Stadium.
Leading sports surgeon Julian Feller performed the surgery on Tuesday and Fremantle's sports science manager Jason Weber told the club's website that the surgery had been a success.
"Nathan had surgery today and we've been in contact with the surgeon and the procedure has gone really well," Weber said.
"They're very happy with it and we look forward to getting him back toward the end of this week."

Veteran defender Michael Johnson also underwent surgery on Tuesday evening.
Johnson suffered a right hamstring tendon injury and tore his right medial ligament in the act of kicking late in the loss to the Blues.
In better news for the Dockers, skipper David Mundy appears certain to return for Saturday's clash with Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Mundy has missed the past three matches with a calf injury.
Mature-age recruit Shane Yarran also looks set to play his first game of the year, albeit in the WAFL.
Yarran, 26, was the leading goalkicker in the WAFL last season and was drafted by the Dockers with pick No.61 in last year's NAB AFL Draft. He injured his knee in last year's WAFL Grand Final and has undergone a long rehab program over the pre-season.
Weber said Yarran looked ready to play after some strong weeks on the training track, and could be considered for selection with Peel Thunder this week.
