The Senior Coach will accept responsibility for the Club’s on-field success. It is expected that this will encompass the entire coaching department, driving the pathway from the WWTFC Centre of Excellence through to the ultimate goal of senior premierships.
To achieve this, the Senior Coach must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Playing experience at AFL or State League Level and/or Senior or Assistant coaching experience at AFL or State League Level
- Clear understanding of the SANFL competition
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong management and leadership skills
- The ability to maximise individual performance
- Instil team spirit and unity
- Capacity for sound decision making under pressure
- A track record of success and passion for the game itself
The club also expects the Senior Coach to take a pro-active role in the promotion of its brand. As such, those with a willingness to embrace a member and media friendly approach will be well received.
The expectation is to “hit the ground running” and continue to develop an exciting group of players with a view to achieving premiership success.
