ADELAIDE will be sweating on mid-week scans for Daniel Talia, after the star defender injured his hamstring in the opening minute of its big win against Gold Coast.
Talia pulled up abruptly when following an opponent in the Suns' first forward foray, clutching the top of his left hamstring and immediately trying to hobble towards the bench.
He got caught in the play attempting to leave the field, and even managed to kick the ball with his right foot 40 metres, before reaching the bench looking resigned.
Coach Don Pyke had little information about Talia's future in his post-match press conference.
"We'll get that assessed … we'll look at those things during the week," Pyke said.
Riley Knight joined Talia on the bench with ice on his hamstring in the dying stages of the match.
Adelaide takes on fellow undefeated side Richmond next Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Oval.
