Josh Gibson's outstanding 2011 season has been topped off with the Most Consistent Player Award.
Josh Gibson’s excellent season down back for the Hawks has been rewarded by the coaching staff with the Most Consistent Player award at the Peter Crimmins Medal award on Saturday 8 October.
The 27-year-old defender, who joined the Hawks ahead of the 2010 season, was hampered by injury last year but rebounded in 2011 to be the backbone of the Hawks’ defence.
Gibson didn’t miss a game all season, averaging 17 disposals and five marks a game while continually shutting down opposition forwards.
