After breaking the club’s all-time record membership of 24,624 on March 12, the Roos have signed more than 5000 members in the past three weeks.

The club’s membership tally has soared to 30,017 leading into this Saturday’s Round 3 clash with Hawthorn.

North Melbourne Football Club Chairman James Brayshaw said the club was ecstatic with the support of the North Melbourne faithful.

“We must thank the North Melbourne fans who have taken a stand with us and joined as members of our great club,” said Brayshaw, who has filmed a thank you message to all members via the club’s website.

“The impact this result has both on and off the field for the club is enormous and we are grateful to our members for their support.”

Brayshaw said the sky’s the limit as the club now focuses on surging towards 35,000 members.

“This is possible. Remember we still have around 3969 members from last season who have yet to join up,” he said.

“We urge all fans that have royal blue and white pumping through their veins to join up.”

Brayshaw said the club was in the process of putting together a bevy of prizes which will be drawn following the closure of the membership period in mid-June as a special thank you to all our members.

“We think it’s important we thank all our members from the first to the last, by giving them the same chance at winning some amazing recognition prizes with a draw in early July,” Brayshaw said.

The club will notify members of more prize draw details in the coming months.
Also in the coming weeks the club will be announcing an extensive Member’s Benefits Program which will offer our members a wide range of discounts and special offers from a variety of the club sponsors.

“Finally we would like to remind our people that joining up is one thing, but we must also turn up every week throughout the year,” Brayshaw said.
