"Istill feel we've got a good core group, and when we turn up to play we're areally good team."
TheSwans slid to 10th spot on the ladder after the loss and this week face thedaunting task of playing ladder leaders Geelongat Skilled Stadium.
"Wehave to stay positive,” Barry said. “We still feel we can have a good seasonand have a good back end to the season. It's a huge month for us and it startswith Geelongnext week."
Barrywas critical of the team's performance against the Magpies, ruing not only theskill errors, but also an apparent lack of teamwork.
"[Themost disappointing thing] was probably that lack of care for each other. That'sbeen one of the highlights of previous years, guys working to the end for theteam and teammates.
"Itwas really quiet [on Saturday night], no enthusiasm, lacking intent… a lot ofthe features that certainly haven't been part of our game over the last fewyears.”
Barrysaid the Swans' problem could be a lack of hunger, after reaching consecutivegrand finals.
"It'sa pretty tough gig and a tough order trying to get the ultimate prize eachyear. It might be weighing down on players, might be one of the reasons we havegood games and bad games. Maybe guys want or will to work for each other iscertainly wavering."
"Forus to be a force this year, or get back to being a force, we need that.
"It'snot all doom and gloom," Barry added. "But we've got a few thingswe've got to work out really quickly."
