AARON Hall will miss round one with a broken left finger.
The Gold Coast midfielder had surgery early in the week after suffering the injury against Brisbane in Sunday's JLT Community Series match at Southport.
The break wasn't noticeable at first, but Hall experienced pain early in the week and had scans.
Hall's injury adds to a growing list of unavailable players for the Suns' opening match against North Melbourne in Cairns.
Pearce Hanley (shoulder) and Sean Lemmens (hamstring) are confirmed outs, while Peter Wright (calf) is also unlikely.
None of the injuries are considered long term.
Hall could return as early as round two.
