7.00 - Alarm goes off, my radio goes on and I get ready for work.

8.04 - If I’m lucky my train is running on time and I get to Jolimont with enough time to grab a coffee at the Hugh Trumble Café before I’m at my desk by 8.30.

8.30 - Respond to my emails, flag any jobs that are due this week and make my to-do list for the day. My to-do list is always ambitious, and becomes more and more unlikely as the day goes on, as I get given ‘quick jobs’ to do for many internal staff (community and sponsorship, I’m looking at you!).

9.00 - Begin working on a document for the board meeting next week, presenting the home and clash strip for 2011, as well as showing them the one-off event guernsey we will wear for our match in China against the Brisbane Lions.

10.00 - Compile more names to the growing list of places we need to replace our current logo with our new emblem - hopefully everything will switch over smoothly on November.

10.30 - Quickly make changes to the membership artwork for 2011 - we have received some samples and have a few changes in regards to colour and the use of the emblem.

11.00 - Start working on a plan for next week’s game - round 22 is our last home game of the season. We are hoping to plan some special activities to thank our members for their support in 2010, and also to honour James McDonald’s 250th (although it will be his 251st, but his 250th was played in Adelaide) and final game.

12.00 - Lunch at “The View” in the staff kitchen, where we discuss the important issues of the day such as what people are up to on the weekend and what we will wear to the best and fairest.

12.30 - Boring-but-important admin work, tidying up our work experience program from the week before last. We had two lots of 15 students come in and I assisted in coordinating them, as they experienced all the different careers you can have in a football club. The program was a huge success, so we will be doing it again next year.

2.00 - Work on some silk banner signage for our Best and Fairest that commemorates the players that our awards are named after, such as Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott and Sid Anderson.

3.00 - Do some artwork for invitations, menus and tickets for events the club hosts for corporate finals series and the AFL Grand Final.

5.00 - Home time, tonight I am off to an exhibition opening and then to bed!
