Jamie O’Reilly and David Gourdis have both been selected to make their AFL debuts with Richmond in Saturday’s clash with arch-rival Carlton at the MCG.

This brings to 11 the number of players to debut with the Tigers this season.

O’Reilly, 22, is a 185cm, 80kg, running half-back, recruited from Loughinisland, County Down, Ireland.  He has made rapid progress at VFL level with Coburg this season and recently was elevated from rookie status to Richmond’s senior list.

Gourdis, 21, is a 193cm, 93kg key-position player from WA club Subiaco.  He has excelled throughout the 2010 season for Coburg at full-back, where he has utilised his pace and rebounding ability.

Richmond has also included Andrew Collins and Jayden Post in the side for the match against the Blues on Saturday.

Mitch Farmer has been sidelined with a knee injury, while Luke McGuane is out through illness.  Will Thursfield and Jeromey Webberley have been omitted.
