COLLINGWOOD'S good form is unlikely to be interrupted by a 10-day break according to forward Travis Cloke.

The Magpies will take on Essendon in their traditional ANZAC Day clash next Monday after defeating Richmond last Friday night.

Cloke says the unusual extended break will most likely give his team a chance to step away from the usual routine and freshen up.

"When you play a Friday night game you sit around watching football all weekend and then we go through our normal week, watch the games all weekend and play on the Monday," Cloke said.

"But at the same time it's a great opportunity to unwind a little bit. We're doing a couple of clinics today and we get back to the community which is fantastic and we get away from football for a couple of days."

The match promises to be one of the best clashes of the season so far, with the undefeated Magpies taking on a vastly-improved Essendon side.

"I've watched a little bit of them. We played them in the NAB Cup grand final and they look very impressive on and off paper. A lot of their boys [who] played in the VFL who were quite impressive as well," he said.

"They'll be pushing for selection and at the same time it is going to be a fantastic day. Anzac Day always is, no matter where the two teams are placed. It's going to be a fantastic spectacle for all football lovers."

Cloke has kicked 12.6 this season after his accuracy kicking for goal dipped below 50 per cent last season.

He attributes the change to a new practice routine in which he listens to pre-recorded crowd noise through his ipod as he takes a set shot.

"The idea came from one of our technology guys, Marcus Wagner. He put it up one day and said to give it a shot," he said.

"I've been using it for two months and it's starting to show some work so I thought I'd stick with it. I do it once or twice a week, just half a dozen shots a day and that's about it."
