CARLTON captain Marc Murphy will miss Saturday night's match against Geelong amid fears he has again ruptured the plantar fascia in his troublesome left foot.
The reigning Blues best and fairest returned for last Sunday's drubbing at the hands of Melbourne and hurt himself, spending time in the rooms but managing to finish the game.
However, he disrupted scar tissue in his foot and was spotted by Channel Seven on crutches at the club ahead of scans on Friday, which are expected to reveal how long he is forced to miss.

Murphy was withdrawn minutes before Carlton's round four clash with North Melbourne after injuring the plantar fascia in his left foot.
The 30-year-old has not yet been able to have scans because there is too much swelling in the area.
"At the moment, we're not really too sure what's going on with it. It could be scar tissue, it could be a re-rupture," Murphy said.
He has played just four games this season.
Murphy's contract expires at the end of 2018.
He is managed by Paul Connors and remains committed to Carlton.
"My manager's working through that with the club at the moment," Murphy said.
"I was more just focused on getting this right and playing some good footy.
"Unfortunately just had a bit of a setback."
