The Sydney Swans have named newly-promoted rookie Matt O’Dwyer in their final side for Sunday’s match against Carlton at the Telstra Dome.

O’Dwyer, who has been on the Swans' rookie list since 2007, was this week promoted to the senior list in place of Kristin Thornton, who is on the long-term injury list.

Hailing from Melbourne, O'Dwyer played with the Calder Cannons before being taken by the Swans with pick 30 in the 2007 Rookie Draft.  It was in the same draft that the Sydney Swans selected Nick Smith and Luke Brennan, both of whom have played senior football for the club.
