HAWTHORN'S Lance Franklin faces a one-match ban by the match review panel, with his penalty to remain at one game even with an early plea, due to his previous poor record.

Franklin was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Bulldog Jason Akermanis during the second quarter of Sunday's clash at Etihad Stadium.

Brisbane Lions duo Mitch Clark and Ash McGrath have been offered one-match suspension each with an early plea, which could rule them out of their clash against the Bulldogs at the Gabba on Saturday night.

Clark was charged with striking Port Adelaide's Jackson Trengove and McGrath was charged with making unreasonable and unnecessary contact to the face of Power debutant Cameron Cloke.

North Melbourne's Andrew Swallow can accept an $1800 sanction with an early plea for making contact with field umpire Scott McLaren during the clash against West Coast Eagles at Etihad Stadium.

Swan Kieran Jack can accept a $900 fine with an early plea for making negligent contact with field umpire Scott Jeffrey.

First-year Tiger Dustin Martin has been charged with bumping or making forceful contact front-on against Swan Josh Kennedy and has been offered a reprimand with an early plea.

If Martin contests the charge and is found not guilty, he is still eligible for this year's NAB AFL Rising Star award. If he accepts the reprimand, he is in ineligible.

Hawthorn's Chance Bateman can accept an $1800 sanction for wrestling Bulldog Shaun Higgins.

Fremantle's Hayden Ballantyne has been charged with pinching Geelong's Gary Ablett and can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea.

In other incidents assessed by the match review panel, it looked at the contact made on Adelaide's Patrick Dangerfield, who suffered a neck injury after being tackled by three Demons - Clint Bartram, James McDonald and Michael Newton. The match review panel said Dangerfield was attempting to move through a pack when he was gang-tackled and taken to the ground.

It said the tackled was one action only with the momentum taking Dangerfield to the ground.

West Coast's Ashley Hansen was reported for striking North Melbourne's Daniel Wells during the second quarter, but the MRP believed the forward's arm was extended in a tackling motion - not a striking action. It said the forced used by Hansen did not constitute a report.

Bulldog Jarrod Harbrow's bump on Hawthorn's Jordan Lewis during the second quarter was also assessed, but the MRP believed both players had eyes for the ball.

Harbrow spoiled the ball before contact was made with Lewis and his actions were deemed legitimate.

The crunch on Lewis was sickening to watch but remarkably he bounced back and was on the ground in the final term.
