This weekend: Sturt v Adelaide, Preliminary Final - Sunday September 18, 2.10pm, Adelaide Oval
Speedy half-forward Riley Knight ended his season on a high note, collecting an equal team-high 25 touches and nine marks in the Crows' 35-point preliminary final loss.
Midfielder Harrison Wigg showed he has the potential to improve the Crows' midfield depth, with 25 disposals of his own.
Wigg is yet to debut since being drafted by Adelaide with pick No.35 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.
Despite bagging a career-best seven goals last weekend, promoted rookie Jonathon Beech featured higher up the ground and added 18 touches and nine marks.
Ball-winner Mitch Grigg had 19 disposals, seven tackles and six clearances, while livewire Wayne Milera and category B rookie Hugh Greenwood kicked three goals apiece.
Retiring 205-game stalwart Nathan van Berlo was given a guard of honour by the two clubs as he walked off Adelaide Oval for the final time.

This weekend: Collingwood v Footscray, Preliminary Final - Saturday September 17, 2.40pm, North Port Oval
Utility Adam Oxley was easily the Magpies' best player on a dirty day in which they suffered a 119-point loss to Footscray in their VFL preliminary final at Port Melbourne on Saturday.
With the Pies missing veterans Tyson Goldsack (hip), Alan Toovey (back), Jack Frost (ankle) and Matthew Goodyear (calf) and using just nine AFL-listed players, Oxley was perhaps the only winner in black and white with 30 touches and a goal while playing mainly across half-back.
Youngster Tom Phillips had 25 disposals and also kicked a goal, while delisted veteran Brent Macaffer (25) was serviceable in his last game for the club.
Jarrod Witts found the going tough against Dogs ruck duo Tom Campbell and Will Minson, and Marley Williams, Rupert Wills and Ben Crocker also struggled to have an impact against an overwhelming tide.

This weekend: South Fremantle v Peel Thunder, Preliminary Final - Sunday September 18, 2.15pm, Fremantle Community Bank Oval
On the back of his 35-disposal performance last week, Connor Blakely again dominated the midfield battle with a season-high 42 disposals (15 contested) in Peel's 39-point preliminary final win.
The second-year midfielder gathered 27 possessions by half-time, reflecting the Thunder's supremacy across the ground.
Blakely was assisted by fellow midfielder Matt de Boer, who continued his consistent run with eight first-half clearances, before ending with 29 disposals, 10 tackles and two goals.
Draftee Darcy Tucker also won his fair share of the ball with 27 touches and a goal, while Nick Suban's run and carry off half-back was rewarded with 23 disposals.
Peel won through to its maiden WAFL Grand Final and takes on Subiaco in next Sunday's decider at Domain Stadium.

Midfielder Christian Salem was best on ground until he was concussed at the 25-minute mark of the second quarter of Casey's 42-point preliminary final win.
The 21-year-old, who was precise by foot from the outset with his 15 disposals and six inside 50s, landed head first as he was brought to ground in a tackle.
It was a disappointing end to Salem's afternoon after he made a perfect start with his disposal efficiency and willingness to drift back to help his teammates in defence.
Salem was alert and talking to the medicos in the rooms.
On a better note, experienced defender Lynden Dunn starred with 25 possessions and 13 marks, and repeatedly repelled Williamstown's attacks inside 50.
The 29-year-old also drifted forward to kick a superb running goal from well outside 50m in the opening term.
Tough nut Clayton Oliver laid strong tackles and had 24 touches, ball-winner Alex Neal-Bullen was reliable as ever with a team-high 29 disposals, and big man Jake Spencer proved too strong in the ruck.
Out-of-contract midfielder Jack Grimes was a late withdrawal from the game due to illness.
Casey will take on Footscray in next Sunday's VFL Grand Final at Etihad Stadium.
DUNN GOES BANG! That's more accurate kicking from the @CaseyScorpions, and that's Dunn's first @VFL goal this year. https://t.co/ky5uBiT9YQ

This weekend: Collingwood v Footscray, Preliminary Final - Saturday September 17, 2.40pm, North Port Oval
Several Bulldogs pressed their cases for inclusion in the Bulldogs' AFL preliminary final clash against Greater Western Sydney by performing strongly in Footscray's 119-point win over Collingwood at Port Melbourne on Saturday.
With rover Nathan Hrovat sidelined with a shoulder problem, classy left-footers Lukas Webb (30-odd touches) and Roarke Smith helped set up the landslide victory, which continued a remarkable weekend for the Dogs, who have powered into the VFL Grand Final, to be played on Sunday September 25.
Showcasing their great depth and winning culture, Jed Adcock and Mitch Honeychurch both gathered high-20s for disposals and kicked two goals apiece, while Bailey Dale slotted two early majors.
Fellow midfielder Koby Stevens was workmanlike, ruckmen Tom Campbell and Will Minson outpointed Pies giant Jarrod Witts, and Bailey Williams and Fletcher Roberts were part of a miserly defence.
The surprise packet was the Bulldogs' 23rd player, draft hopeful Ben Long – a nephew of Essendon great Michael Long – who bagged a game-high 6.0, including five in the second half, from 17 disposals.
Originally from the famous Darwin club St Marys, 19-year-old Long hopes to impress at the NAB AFL Draft Combine in October.
We're off to the BIG DANCE, into the VFL Grand Final.
