What about this Nathan Lovett-Murray? He is proving to be a real find this season for the Bombers. Standing at 190cm tall and weighing 84kg he is fast and skilful. He picked up 11 possessions and kicked 3 goals against the Bulldogs to be part of a strong team effort. It's going to be quite a forward line when Damien Cupido gets back into the team.

The recent performances of James Hird have overshadowed the fact that the Bombers are playing strong football across the ground. Lloyd at full forward is providing a target and he kicked 5 goals this week. Hille, Solomon, Murphy and Rioli all kicked 2 goals. Fletcher, Bolton, Wellman, McPhee and Welsh are an aggressive backline that takes on the opposition in marking contests and when the ball hits the ground. JJ was inspirational with 26 touches. MJ is working his way back into form. Murphy, Hird and Wellman all collected more than 20 possessions.

So after 7 rounds of football the Bombers have 5 wins in a row after 2 losses at the start of the season. Over the next 3 rounds the Bombers will play the Crows in Adelaide, the Cats at the Dome, and then the Dockers at the Dome. For Sheedy it's finals football this week against the Crows on the road. The Bombers record at AAMI Stadium is not pretty, but it's not the past that matters, it's this week. Go Bombers!
