FREMANTLE youngster Ryan Nyhuis has been handed a three-game ban by the AFL Tribunal for his dangerous tackle that concussed Port Adelaide star Robbie Gray.
Nyhuis pleaded guilty to the charge, completely accepting match review officer Michael Christian's grading of the incident as careless conduct with severe impact to the head.

Both his representatives and the AFL's legal counsel Jeff Gleeson QC agreed that the action warranted a three-game ban, with the Tribunal deliberating for just two minutes.
Gleeson said it was "a credit" to the 21-year-old that he had pleaded guilty to the charge, saying he wouldn't argue for a longer ban as it was fair to believe that the Fremantle defender thought Gray had possession of the ball as he completed his tackle.
However, he said the action deserved a three-match ban as the tackle was dangerous, saw Gray's head driven into the turf and because Gray's bracing arm was pinned at the time.
Gray required a stretcher to be carried from the field, unable to take any further part in the match. A medical report following the incident said he was unconscious for 45 seconds as a result of the tackle, while it's not yet known whether he will be fit to play this weekend.
Nyhuis will miss Fremantle's games against Essendon, Hawthorn and West Coast.
"It was never my intention to hurt Robbie," Nyhuis said afterwards.
"I went and made sure I apologised to him post-game and I sincerely made sure he was OK.
"I want to thank my counsel and the Fremantle Football Club for their support and I look forward to finishing the year strongly."
