ESSENDON had all the momentum after kicking the first two goals of the game against Carlton in their elimination final clash at the MCG on Sunday.

The goals, kicked by Jake Carlisle and Kyle Reimers, ignited the 90,000-plus crowd.

The Bombers' fans raised the volume even more when midway through the first term, Paddy Ryder took off on the wing in pursuit of a running and bouncing Chris Yarran.

Despite the height difference, the big Bomber caught the little Blue, won the free kick and punted the ball back into the Bombers' attacking arc. It came off hands and was then neatly collected by Angus Monfries, who used his left foot to slot the Bombers' third goal.
