NORTH Melbourne will hold its earliest live NAB AFL Draft pick since 2009 after its elimination final defeat last weekend.
The Roos will take pick No.11 into the off-season following their 62-point loss to Adelaide on Saturday night.
North held pick No.8 in 2013 but was committed to drafting Luke McDonald under the father-son rule that year. Its last top-10 selection before that was when it selected Ben Cunnington in 2009.
Last season the Roos gave up their first-round pick in a deal that netted them forward Jed Anderson.
But they traded back into the first round as part of the Ryan Bastinac deal, which they used on promising key defender Ben McKay (pick No.21 overall).
West Coast will enter the draft at pick No.12 following its elimination final loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Gold Coast will have the biggest say on this year's draft with six picks inside the first 27 selections, while Greater Western Sydney will have three first-round picks.
Collingwood, having traded its first 2017 pick to the Giants as part of last year's deal for Adam Treloar, will not enter the draft until pick No.25.
That is one spot ahead of Melbourne's first pick (No.26), although that selection is likely to come into discussions as the Demons chase Essendon defender Michael Hibberd.
