I can’t believe how many e-mails keep coming in for me to go through every week. Keep them coming! I just wanted to let you know that I keep all the e-mails that I don’t answer and I will try to get through them all by the end of the season. So make sure you check back here each week to see if your question got answered.

Here we go.

What a fantastic effort by the team on Sunday, not only winning but also personally thanking the group behind the goals. I have never witnessed this in all the years I have been supporting the Cats. Please thank all of the players for this wonderful gesture – Jan Miller

SK: Thanks Jan. The supporters have been fantastic this year despite our slow start. We just wanted to show our appreciation as a group for that support. It was a spontaneous gesture and the comments afterwards from the players was that they enjoyed the interaction as well. The on-going support from our fans proves how great you all are. It is easy to be behind a team when they are winning every week, and the loyalty that our supporters have shown proves that they know we are on the right track. So while it is great .to receive your thanks, it is really the players that are thankful for all the support we have received.

James Kelly is easy to pick out when watching him play because he always wears long sleeves. Why? Is it up to individual players to decide which jumper to wear? – Sian

SK: Sian, it is up to each player as to whether they wear sleeves or sleeveless jumpers. James wears the long sleeves a fair bit, and it is eye catching to say the least. I prefer the sleeveless jumper, I just feel a bit freer in my movement without the sleeves. No one has ever advised me either way, and I think most players go with what they feel most comfortable in.

I’m 16 years old and live in Canberra. I would love to play for Geelong one day and was wondering how to go about doing that. Do you have scouts that ever come to Canberra? – Ian Barnes

SK: The club has an outstanding recruiting department that travels far and wide to ensure we pick up quality players. Look at players like Jarad Rooke, Will Slade and David Johnson. All were picked up either late in the draft or through the rookie draft. We do have evaluators in Canberra, so my best advise is to stick with it, and I am sure the scouts from Geelong and the other 15 clubs will see you play at some stage.

I want to know how James Rahilly’s recovery is going, because he is a great ruck rover. – Scott Ware

As you say Scott, James is a terrific player. He missed a few games early in the year with an ankle injury and is getting back to full fitness and match conditioning in the VFL. James has played 68 games now and is one of the players that we feel will help us when he is back at 100%.

I am, and always will be a keen and passionate Cats supporter, and even through these hard times, I remind myself that we as football club have a lot to look forward to with the amount of kids on the brink of something big! However, of those kids, David Wojcinski is one who stands out as potentially something spectacular with his pace and dash off half back, and I was wondering what the future at Geelong holds for this talented youngster? – Marcus Stone

‘Bomber’ Wojcinski is just about the fastest player we have at Geelong and as you say he provides great drive from the backline. I think David has great ability to go with his speed and he has been playing well for us this season. Unfortunately he rolled his ankle and was a late withdrawal last week against the Hawks, but he should be back soon.

I am a huge Geelong supporter. I was just wondering if the team had any upcoming fundraising events on? I would love to be able to meet you guys. You are a terrific player…keep up the good work – Bree Weir
