Westhoff, who booted two goals for the Power and gathered 24 possessions in Port's Showdown victory, spoke candidly about the club's decision to wield the axe and drop Kane Cornes and Danyle Pearce amongst others leading in to the clash against the Crows.
"Losing three in a row isn't an ideal start, so Matty [Power coach Matthew Primus] put it on every single player," Westhoff said.
"He'll put that same notice on them this week - if they don't deliver, their head is on the chopping block.
"We've got to live up to that standard."
Westhoff said it was this no-tolerance attitude that contributed to the Power's resurgence against Adelaide, after Port's goalless opening term saw the Crows sprint to a 27-point lead at quarter time.
The Power then copped an animated spray from coach Primus during the break before storming back into the match.
"Obviously giving them a six-goal lead isn't the way you want to start," Westhoff said, "but we stuck with our structures and we had 22 guys who really wanted to play a role."
"If we stick to those structures, we can go close to winning against pretty much anyone."
Port's stunning revival was driven mainly by Westhoff, David Rodan (four goals), Dean Brogan (15 contested possessions, 11 clearances) and Travis Boak (26 disposals), who were all virtually unsighted during the opening term.
