THE Power will tonight unveil its new brand and membership campaign for 2010, with the release of a new television commercial at its season launch function.
The 30-second television commercial features Power players sweating it out at training at Alberton Oval, followed by the boys trying to out-do each other with a few goalkicking skills.
It strongly features the club’s new black jumper and uses a dramatic original music score.
“The ad is designed to capture what Port Adelaide is all about - authentic, skillful and athletic, with some fun thrown in, but always giving everything,” says Power CEO Mark Haysman.
“The whole campaign is designed around a youthful attitude which is targeting a new generation of supporters, while also re-engaging and inspiring past members.”
The TV ad is available for viewing now.
The Power will also release radio, billboard and newspaper advertising in the coming weeks, as the club seeks to build its brand and supporter base and drive its game-day membership past 32,500 this year. The theme of the Power’s 2010 campaign is ‘It starts here’.
“Our ticketed membership is currently 22,500 which is well ahead of the same time last year,” Haysman said.
“There’s a lot of excitement surrounding the club with the addition of Dean Laidley and Garry Hocking to our coaching staff, the promise of our young list, and now last week’s terrific performance against the Crows.
“We have a target to add a further 10,000 members this year, and to reach 35,000 within three years.”
The Power players will join the membership drive by manning the phones at a club telethon in early March. The club will be releasing further brand and membership initiatives in the coming weeks.
