Other Incidents Assessed:
Contact between the Adelaide Crows’ Bryce Gibbs and the GWS Giants’ Stephen Coniglio from the third quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. The ball is loose and in front of Coniglio, with Gibbs coming towards the contest. The ball bounces between Coniglio’s legs and he puts his head down, in a bid to track the ball and try and take possession. Gibbs is moving towards the loose ball and his knee comes into contact with Coniglio’s head as the Giants’ player ducks his head down to reach between his legs for the ball. It was the view of the Match Review Officer that Gibbs’ actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and the contact was caused by circumstances outside the Adelaide player’s control. No further action was taken.
