PORT Adelaide skipper Travis Boak has had a minor shoulder operation and five other Power players are set for surgery in the coming days.

Boak had a shoulder arthroscopy on Tuesday, while Nathan Krakouer will have a similar operation later this week.

Jack Hombsch (hip), Hamish Hartett (ankle), Angus Monfries (foot), Mason Shaw (groin) will also have operations.

All are expected to line up for the first day of pre-season in November - the club's first to four-year players will return to training on November 9, all others on November 23.

Port's head of high performance Darren Burgess also said Jared Polec had returned to running having missed all but five games of 2015 with a stress fracture in his foot.
