White was left dazed after being crashed into by Motlop once the young Swan had disposed of the ball during the NAB Cup match at Manuka Oval.
The contact appeared high and forceful, and the Port Adelaide star was instantly reported by field umpire Matthew Nicholls.
Motlop went on to kick two goals in the Power's resounding 65-point win while White recovered and played out the game.
Port Adelaide coach Mark Williams was hesitant to comment on the incident, especially in light of the reprieve handed to Collingwood captain Nick Maxwell after he was initially suspended for four weeks for charging.
"I'm going to ring up the Collingwood people and get them to talk for us," Williams joked.
"That would be terrific.
"I haven't watched it, I haven't seen it again. Apparently someone pushed their guy [Smith] into that spot where 'Mots' was.
"The word ‘accidental’ comes to mind."
Williams held his tongue on this occasion having been in trouble with the AFL last year, when he publicly questioned the decision that saw Shaun Burgoyne suspended for three weeks for rough conduct against Hawthorn captain Sam Mitchell.
"I'll get myself in trouble here. Down in Tassie last year I thought I knew the rules and the result didn't fall our way there, so I'll just leave it alone," he said.
"The powers that be will determine what happens and we'll play next week."
