Brendan Fevola, Jack Redden, Pearce Hanley, Todd Banfield, Ash McGrath, Joel Patfull and Amon Buchanan were all charged with a first offence for engaging in a melee after the three-quarter time siren sounded during their match against St Kilda at the Gabba.
A first offence for engaging in a melee results in an automatic $1,600 sanction, although an early guilty plea from each of the players reduced the penalty by 25% to a $1,200 sanction.
Seven St Kilda players - Adam Pattison, Nick Riewoldt, Lenny Hayes, Jason Gram, Nick Dal Santo, Sam Fisher and Andrew McQualter - also received the same penalty.
