Brett Kirk called it a complete 120-minute performance while this week's captain Jude Bolton referred to the West Coast win as a huge confidence boost.Either way, the result means Sydney is sitting pretty in third-place with five rounds remaining of the home-and-away season, and almost at the end of its horror month of football. The stretch has shown them to be worthy premiership contenders following wins over Geelong, Melbourne and West Coast, with Adelaide remaining on Saturday night."We knew this was going to be the toughest month and it was going to be able to set-up our season," Kirk said."We have won three of the games which is fantastic but we have got one game to go to finish off the month and then hopefully we will be in a position to set our sights on the finals."The 28-year-old doesn't believe Sydney is playing any different to the way they were being attacked for playing 'ugly' but they are simply using the ball more efficiently, kicking straighter, have more self-belief and as such have confidence in each other. Before the game Bolton spoke to the players about effort and courage and the Swans showed plenty of both to register their ninth win from their last 11 games. Many now believe they can be competitive at the end of September, but more importantly Kirk says, so does the team."We are just honest and we are hard-working and persevere and just don't give up," Kirk said."We are sort of a relentless bunch of blokes. There is always a lot of talk that we don't have a lot of class but we know as a team we are a really good team."Collectively we are a really good team but we can't win when we play as individuals."
