A COMPLICATED three-way deal between Gold Coast, the Brisbane Lions and Collingwood will see Jared Brennan, Josh Fraser and Andrew Krakouer land at new clubs.

NAB AFL Draft selection five will be traded from the Suns to the Lions, with pick 10 and Brennan heading in the other direction.

It means Gold Coast still has nine of the first 15 selections (1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15) in November's national draft.

In what is a complex arrangement - revealed on afl.com.au's Trade Week Radio by reporter Craig Hutchison on Thursday morning - the Suns will also on-trade a draft pick from Collingwood to the Lions.

That selection - likely to be a third-rounder - is Collingwood's compensation pick for losing uncontracted ruckman Josh Fraser to the Suns.

An AFL spokesman says the final details of the compensation are expected to be announced on Friday morning.

Collingwood looks certain to recruit former Richmond midfielder Andrew Krakouer and youngster John Ceglar, a 200cm, 19-year-old emerging ruckman from the Suns pre-listed players.

Ceglar has been compared to North Melbourne big man Hamish McIntosh.

He played in the TAC Cup with the Murray Bushrangers in 2010 and was a consistent performer with Vic Country in the national under-18 championships.

His father, David Ceglar, played a handful of games for the Kangaroos in the 1980s.

Both Ceglar and Krakouer were pre-listed by Gold Coast, because the Suns are able to snare 10 players who had previously nominated for the draft, or were previously listed with an AFL club.

Collingwood is expected to send pick 25 and its compensation pick to Gold Coast in return for the duo.
