With his nine week suspension almost complete, Steven Baker is getting ready for his return to the Saints side and with the need to keep up both his physical and mental endurance, Baker has been working closely with the St Kilda Strength and Conditioning team to maintain the high level of fitness required for the rigours of AFL. The use of the Musashi range of nutritional supplements, alongside his regular training program, has assisted Baker in his preparation to return.
Back in the St Kilda senior side for the first time since Round 14, Rhys Stanley had a solid performance against the Kangaroos on the weekend playing his regular position in the forward line, as well as assisting Ben McEvoy with ruck duties of the day. As a second year player at the Club, Rhys admits he has been facing the familiar challenge of ensuring his body is strong enough to handle the physical challenge of AFL football.
Through the help of Musashi protein based products and a regular training routine including a solid weights program, Rhys hopes to be able to increase his physical strength to give him the best opportunities to perform at a top level on the football field.
With only two games left in the 2010 Home and Away season all the players are working hard to get their bodies in peak condition to start the finals campaign.
