Collingwood is delighted to announce Connex as the club’s online technology partner for the 2008 season.

Connex has come on board to be the proud supporting partner for the official Collingwood website collingwoodfc.com.au, CTV and Magpie Radio.

Connex continues to work hard to provide a safe, comfortable and efficient service for its customers, and provides more trains to and from the MCG and Telstra Dome to make travelling to the footy easy for Magpie fans.

“Having the support of Connex is crucial as the club continues to push the boundaries in providing a cutting edge online experience for supporters, and develop what is already the most visited club website in the AFL Network,” Collingwood CEO Gary Pert said.

“At Collingwood we pride ourselves on offering our supporters exciting, innovative and exclusive behind-the-scenes access to our players and coaches through our collingwoodfc.com.au content, and through Connex’s support we are able to achieve this and at the same time, Connex is able to inform Collingwood supporters of its services.

“We are thrilled to welcome Connex to the Collingwood family and we look forward to a strong and mutually beneficial alliance,” Pert added.

Collingwood defender Shane Wakelin is himself an avid user of Connex trains, and encourages all Collingwood supporters to use the train.

“It’s terrific that Collingwood and Connex have been able to strike up a partnership, particularly given both organisations hold environmental awareness in high regard, so it makes perfect sense.

“I use Connex trains to travel to and from my games and find the service reliable and efficient, and hopefully through collingwoodfc.com.au more Collingwood supporters will utilise Connex’s services.”
