LIONS VICTORIAN FAMILY DAY
Victorian members and supporters will get their first chance to meet and greet the new-look 2010 Lions team THIS Saturday 27 February at the annual Victorian Pre-Season Family Day.
The event will be held at The Manningham Club which is located at 1 Thompsons Road in Bulleen and will run from 9:30am till 12 noon.
Lions fans will be able to get photographs and autographs with the travelling team, hear from the coaches and sign up as a Victorian or Victorian Plus member for 2010.
There will be plenty of prizes, giveaways, food, drinks, rides and other activities on the day as well as a huge merchandise sale in the Lions Shop.
FAST FOOTY FACTS
The Lions introduced seven new players in their first round NAB Cup match against the Western Bulldogs in Canberra. Brendan Fevola, Brent Staker, Amon Buchanan, Josh Dyson, Claye Beams, Jesse O'Brien and Ryan Harwood all played their first official match with the Lions since joining the Club during the off-season.
The last time the Lions and Carlton met was in the 2009 Elimination Final at the Gabba when the Lions recorded the greatest ever comeback during the last quarter of an AFL Final to eventually prevail by seven points.
Former Carlton full-forward Brendan Fevola joined the Lions during the AFL's Trade Week in a deal which saw Lachlan Henderson become a Blue.
The two most recent players to have worn the number 14 Lions guernsey in a senior match - Richard Hadley and Lachlan Henderson - are both now playing for Carlton.
