The Essendon Football Club has a reputation as a leader in the Australian sports industry, with a proud history in the work undertaken within the community. Driven to be recognised and respected as the most successful sporting club in Australia, both on and off the field, we are now seeking a Community Manager to lead our Community team.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Community Department including:
- Ensuring the community programs align to the Essendon Football Club strategic plan
- Developing and managing the budget for the department
- Ensuring all programs are delivered in accordance with funding guidelines and are regularly monitored and evaluated
- Leading, managing and developing direct reports
- Internal and external stakeholder management
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage numerous key stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously
- High work ethic and attention to detail
- Passion for community programs and partnerships
- Ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on development
