Hawthorn's Lance 'Buddy' Franklin received 10 for his outstanding six-goal, 28-possession display against the Sydney Swans at the SCG, while both sets of coaches agreed St Kilda's Leigh Montagna was best on ground against Melbourne.
Trent Cotchin received 10 votes for his 29 possessions and a goal in Richmond's impressive win over Essendon.
Interestingly, Adelaide midfielder Scott Thompson was unanimously voted best afield against Collingwood, despite his team losing the match by 43 points.
Thompson was the driving force for the Crows as they raced to a five-goal lead at half-time, and although he faded in the final quarter he finished with a game-high 33 possessions.
Injured Essendon skipper Jobe Watson remains atop the leaderboard, with Franklin moving into a tie for second place with Carlton captain Chris Judd.
