There was a real sense of excitement at Swans headquarters today as we count down the last few days until season 2011 blasts off.
Jude Bolton says he just can’t wait for the first game, against Melbourne at the MCG this Sunday March 27, at 2.10pm, and his feelings were echoed by all his team-mates.
We know the fans are just as hyped about the long-awaited start to the season so we thought we’d give you a rundown of what the boys are up to as they complete their final preparations for Round One.
Monday: They’ve done weights and a one hour yoga session before heading into a team meeting.
Tuesday: The players will be training at Lakeside Oval, opposite the SCG, from 2.30pm
Wednesday: Players’ day off.
Thursday: it’s a big day, 9am to 5pm at least, with a range of different activities including speed school, and an off-legs session before team meetings.
Friday: The players train at 11am, again at Lakeside Oval. They won’t be back on the SCG for a couple of weeks, as the curators there get it ready for our first SCG game of the season, on Saturday April 16 at 7.10pm, against Geelong. Training will be followed by a team lunch, cooked by former Masterchef contestant, Courtney Roulston.
Saturday: Travel to Melbourne.
Sunday: Midday, arrive at the MCG for 2.10pm bounce against the Dees. Go Swans!

Sign up for your 2011 Sydney Swans membership outside Gate 1 at the Swans membership marquee from 12pm. Signing-up on the day will give you general admission entry to the ground, with the rest of the membership pack sent to your nominated address within two weeks.
