The Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise that Brad Green will miss the remainder of the 2009 season, requiring surgery to repair his left wrist.

Green pulled up sore following last weekend’s game against Geelong, with x-rays confirming a fracture to the left scaphoid bone.  Green will undergo surgery on Tuesday to have the fracture pinned.

Green will also have surgery to repair a broken knuckle in his right hand.

Green will able to commence pre-season training when Melbourne starts its 2010 campaign in October.
