THERE are too many Fremantle players out of form to list here, but three of them combined early in the second quarter against Essendon to kick a terrific goal which put their side 38 points ahead.

Forward Chris Mayne, who has kicked 16 goals in 10 games this season, was caught in two minds as he streamed forward on a half-forward flank at Patersons Stadium.

Bomber Kyle Hardingam pressured him into a rushed kick inside 50, which Michael Johnson brought to ground. From there, Hayden Ballantyne provided the highlight.

The clever goalsneak swept onto the ball and, as quickly as he'd gathered possession and drawn Bomber Henry Slattery, he fired a handball over his shoulders to an unmanned Johnson, who waltzed into an open goal.
